Yesterday, a campaign volunteer for NY GOP Congressman Lee Zeldin was run over by a motor vehicle.
The offender was rabidly anti-Trump.
This comes on the heels of a man in Texas taking a Make America Great Again hat from a teenage boy and dumping a drink on him at a burger joint the other night.
Let me just make this clear before anybody launches into a tirade accusing the other side or defending theirs: this is NOT about left or right.
I would say exactly what I am about to say if these things happened to Obama supporters.
When you have reached the point where you see your political opposition as not just wrong, but evil, it is time to put down your phone and go for a walk.
No matter what anybody tells you, we do not live in a fascist dictatorship.
If we did, you would not be able to spend 24 hours/day trashing the president because you would be in jail.
In fact, if you read history, you would know such arrests actually happened under presidents like Lincoln and Wilson.
But that is besides the point. The issue here is that I have heard people legitimately claim to be fighting for their lives and seeing a MAGA hat as a Nazi salute.
As a Jewish man who is not white, people who say this offend me greatly.
