Whatever Happened to Bidenomics?
Vice President Kamala Harris isn’t running on Bidenomics. Why not?
Fortunately, the U.S. presidential election will soon be over. In two weeks, America will have voted in a new president.
Naturally, there is no end of hand-wringing in Washington as Election Day nears. Neither party is feeling overconfident, with Democrats currently enduring the worst of it.
For VP Kamala Harris, after a brief surge in polling after cinching the nomination, last week wasn’t a good one. The polls aren’t good, and if the election were held today, chances are good that Donald Trump would win.
Already, there is plenty of argument as to why Harris is performing so poorly. Mass media news coverage of Donald Trump being what it is — almost entirely positive — and mass media coverage of Kamala Harris being what it is — almost entirely positive — Harris really should be running away with the thing.
Except she isn’t. Democratic Party analysts, journalists, and strategists are already hard at work explaining why.
