THE PEOPLE OF EGYPT HAVE A CHOICE TO MAKE AND IT IS AN EASY ONE: SISI ALL THE WAY
There is a leader in the Middle East who could be a key ally for the United States going forward but does not get talked about nearly enough.

I have personally been to Egypt befoe and after Sisi took power and can attest to the dramatic improvement I have seen with my own eyes.
Sisi is currently up for re-election and I believe it is imperative for the good of the world that he win.
Why?
Well, this is a man who rose up the ranks from the infantry corps to commanding a mechanized infantry division and Egypt’s northern military zone and occupied a high post in the Mubarek regime.
After Mubarek was removed from power in 2011, Sisi was elevated to director of military intelligence and began showing that he could truly be a force for good.
First, he agreed to have the Egyptian military stop using virginity tests on female detainees.
If you are unfamiliar with what a female virginity test is, trust me, it is every bit as horrific as you are thinking.
A year later, Presdent Morsy made Sisi minister of defense. He immediately fired a shot at the corrupt Egyptian government, forcing them to get their act together via an ultimatum that was not considered a coup.
After Morsy was removed from power, Mansour became President and Sisi was elevated again, this time to Prime Minister, while retaining his military post.
A year later, Sisi, who had risen up the ranks step by step, finally took his largest leap by running for president and winning. Again, he showed how much of an ally he could be for the United States here, winning on a platform that included destroying the Muslim Brotherhood.
Some of Sisi’s actions since then have been those of a potentially bold reformer, including pardoning over 100 prisoners, some of whom were journalists that had been imprisoned for simply being dissenting voices.
And the biggest clue of all that this is a man the United States can potentially work with? In April of last year, Sisi showed an openness to the idea of U.S./Egypt cooperation by visiting President Trump n the White House, becoming the first Egyptian President to go to the White House in seven years.
This is not to say that Sisi is perfect, but throughout his rise to the top post in Egypt, he has shown a willingness to listen, learn, and do what is right for his people. While other leaders have been stubborn, Sisi has rightfully shown he can be trusted by his people and has helped greatly in efforts to put Egypt on the right path.
There is no doubt that an amicable relationship with the United States is in Egypt’s best interest, just as it is in the United States’ best interest. Sisi clearly knows this, hence his visit to the White House last year. President Trump clearly knows this as well, hence his extending an invitation to Sisi.
Not to mention Sisi’s ability to work diplomatically with the Saudi Crown Prince, another positive sign for possible breakthroughs in the region.
Without mincing words here, the United States could use all the friends it can get in that region or at the very least, as many non-enemies as it can get. Sisi appears to be a man who could put Egypt into one of those two categories for President Trump. It is to both Presidents’ benefit that the two countries continue to progress towards a non-hostile relationship.
President Sisi could be a very important cog in the wheel of Middle Eastern diplomacy.
This is why I believe the Egyptian people MUST re-elect President Sisi.
Because Egypt, the United States, and the world in general, will likely be far better off due to his continued strong leadership.
