Pressure Grows on MIT President To Stop Antisemitic Incidents,” began Real Clear Politics staff writer Susan Crabtree on March 22, 2024.

“When unrest began to roil university campuses across the United States in the weeks after Hamas’ horrific Oct. 7 attacks in Israel, many faculty and administrators thought it was only temporary and would likely subside by Thanksgiving,” Crabtree recalled. “When protests persisted, and Jewish students and faculty complained about a wave of antisemitic incidents and rhetoric, some administrators assumed the turmoil would recede after winter break.”

Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

“The acts of discrimination, intimidation, and harassment against Jewish students have not only continued, they have metastasized into a systemic level of abuse that threatens the universities’ core academic and research missions,” asserted Crabtree.

She is far from the only person to do so.

Former Harvard President and prominent political donor Larry Summers has also been outspoken about the number of antisemitic incidents being reported at universities.

Larry Summers was ousted as Harvard president,” groused Stephanie Ebbert for the Boston Globe in March. “He has a lot to say about what’s wrong with the university now.
