While progressives lament another loss to Donald Trump, President Biden seems to be having fun again.

The Election Day defeat of Vice President Kamala Harris by former President Donald Trump surprised many in Washington.

But not everyone.

Kamala Harris Campaign Aides Suggest Campaign Was Just Doomed,” Arthur Delany admitted for HuffPost on November 26, 2024. “The Harris campaign’s internal polling apparently never had her ahead of Trump.”

“We didn’t get the breaks we need on Election Day,” former top Harris campaign senior advisor David Plouffe told the Pod Save America podcast on Tuesday. “I think it surprised people because there was these public polls that came out in late September, early October, showing us with leads that we never saw.”

But while progressive journalists and Democratic Party analysts audit receipts from the Harris campaign and engage in painful, post-mortem electorate examinations, one prominent Democrat seems to be taking Election Day losses in stride.

President Joe Biden, after being forced to drop out of the 2024 race by Democratic Party leaders, seems to be enjoying the waning days of his presidency as the holiday season approaches.
