“You have a circumstance where the first war crime is being committed by Hamas by having their headquarters, their military hidden under a hospital,” said Biden. “And that’s a fact.

The devastating October 7, 2023, terrorist attack against Israel was a moment for moral clarity.

Not only did Hamas commit atrocities against innocent Israeli citizens— including mass murder, rape, and torture — many of the terrorists actually filmed their crimes and uploaded the videos to the internet and social media sites.

For most Americans, the implications were soon crystal clear: Hamas was in fact a terrorist organization with a specific genocidal, anti-Semitic purpose having nothing whatever to do with Palestinian liberation or land repatriation rights.

But somehow, some progressives continued to support Hamas, demonizing Israel immediately after it had endured a terrible terrorist attack but before any counter-attack had yet begun.

Everywhere in America, it seems, a dramatic power play has been unfolding on the left in the weeks since. In academia, on Wall Street, on Capitol Hill, and in Silicon Valley, Israel’s supporters and Jewish Americans have been pitted against a growing contingent of young progressives who, somehow, are still managing to support Hamas.
