Don’t believe the negative press cycle hype: President Joe Biden had an extremely strong showing at the 2024 G7 meeting of world leaders.

The Group of Seven (G7) traces its origins to the mid-1970s, a time of economic turmoil marked by the oil crisis and economic turmoil.

All these many years later, world leaders are facing the same sorts of challenges in 2024. This year’s G7 was well attended by member nations with much to discuss.

Initially comprising the world’s most advanced economies — Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States — the G7 was conceived as a forum for the leaders of these nations to discuss and coordinate economic policy.

Over the decades, the G7 has evolved into a central pillar of global governance. Its influence extends beyond economics into the realms of geopolitics and international security.
