Not everything is a contentious, polarized mess. Stars and sports can still bring everyone together.

Sometimes, it may seem as if the world is a suspicious, polarized mess. With politics tearing us apart, violence threatening our peace of mind, and unceasing economic pressures, it’s amazing Americans are getting along as well as we do.

But not everything is terrible. Some things still have the power to bring everyone together, whatever our challenges.

From conception to the cosmos, the James Webb Telescope has already united the world in wonderment. Born from the dreams of astronomers and engineers, this marvel of technology has brought nations together in a shared quest for knowledge.

Its journey, fraught with challenges and triumphs, captivated millions. When it finally unfurled its golden mirror and began to peer into the depths of space, the images it sent back were nothing short of awe-inspiring. From stunning nebulae to distant galaxies, the Webb Telescope has provided a window into the universe’s secrets, reminding us all of the boundless curiosity and ingenuity that define humanity.

But Webb isn’t the only satellite telescope in the heavens. Happy birthday to the Chandra space telescope, which has been sending back images like these for 25 years.
