“The bodies of Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi, and Master Sergeant Ori Danino were found and recovered yesterday,” the Israeli Defense Force revealed in a statement released last night.

“They were all taken hostage on October 7 and were murdered by the Hamas terrorist organization while in captivity in Gaza,” the IDF said. “The IDF and ISA send their heartfelt condolences to the families. Israeli security forces are operating with all means to bring home all the hostages as fast as possible.”

Israel recovers 6 hostage bodies, including Israeli American,” reported Shira Rubin, Niha Masih, and Joanna Slater for the Washington Post.

“The remains of Goldberg-Polin, 23 — whose parents spoke at the Democratic National Convention last month, saying the world was praying for his release — were found on Saturday alongside the bodies of Carmel Gat, 40; Eden Yerushalmi, 24; Alexander Lobanov, 32; Almog Sarusi, 27; and Ori Danino, 25,” they added.

The dreadful news was met with sadness and anger by world leaders, including President Joe Biden.
