Minneapolis PD Investigating Alleged Ballot Harvesting Scheme

Undercover video appears to show campaign workers engaged in illegal ballot harvesting in Rep. Ilhan Omar’s district.

President Donald Trump has requested U.S. attorneys launch an investigation into Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN), following reports of her supporters “illegally harvesting ballots in Minnesota.”

“This is totally illegal. Hope that the U.S. Attorney in Minnesota has this, and other of her many misdeeds under serious review??? If not, why not??? We will win Minnesota because of her, and law enforcement. Saved Minneapolis & Iron O Range!,” the president wrote on Twitter.

The president was alluding to a recent report from James O’Keefe of Project Veritas, an investigative reporting project which uses undercover journalists to surreptitiously record targeted organizations. Critics of Project Veritas accuse O’Keefe of using deceptive editing practices to make his candid videos appear more damning.

According to secretly recorded footage obtained by Project Veritas, Congresswoman Omar’s supporters in Minneapolis appear to be illegally collecting blank ballots from immigrants and bragging about it on social media.
