Marc Fogel is Free At Last…Thanks to Donald Trump
Fogel isn’t alone: “Full List of Americans Freed by Donald Trump After Being Detained Abroad,” outlined Jordan King for Newsweek.
After almost four years in a Russian prison, Marc Fogel is free at last.
“Released Russian Prisoner Arrives at White House,” reported C-SPAN on February 11, 2025. “Marc Fogel, an American school teacher wrongfully detained by the Russians for more than three years, arrived at the White House following his release for a meeting with President Trump.”
“Fogel was arrested in Moscow in 2021 after entering the country with roughly 0.6 ounce of cannabis that his family and lawyer said was prescribed by a doctor in the United States to treat chronic pain,” explained Jordan King for Newsweek on February 12, 2025. “He was sentenced to 14 years in prison in June 2022.”
“His family and supporters had long pushed for his release, arguing that his punishment was excessive,” added King.
