California’s population is experiencing a significant shift as more people choose to leave the state for destinations like Texas and Florida. This exodus has raised discussions about the underlying reasons and the implications it holds for California’s growth, federal funding, and congressional districts.
“4 in 10 California residents are considering packing up and leaving, new poll finds,” reported Benjamin Oreskes for the Los Angeles Times this week.
While California historically balanced its losses to other states with international immigration, both domestic and international migration has slowed down in recent years.
