IF MUELLER HAS ANYTHING, HE NEEDS TO SAY SO……OTHERWISE, IT IS TIME HE AND THE COUNTRY BOTH MOVED ON

The Robert Mueller probe into Russian collusion during the 2016 presidential election has been ongoing for roughly one full year now.

What have we learned so far? Apparently, Paul Manafort is corrupt (shocking!), General Mike Flynn talked to the Russians after the election and lied to the FBI about it, and a bunch of Russian trolls engaged in misinformation campaigns online that we have zero proof actually influenced the election in any way.

Speaking of which, Russians supposedly organized at different points both for and against Donald Trump.

As far as anybody is aware, the probe has turned up zero evidence of actual campaign collusion between the Trump camp and the Russians.

Yet, somehow, the hardcore #Resistance types are insisting they have “proof” of collusion.

Take California Rep Eric Swalwell (D) who went on Tucker Carlson’s show recently to offer concrete evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia only to end up repeating the same recycled conspiracy material we have been hearing since the day President Trump won.

You see, this guy who is Russian knew another guy who knew another guy who sold President Trump a boat in 1987 and gave it to him for a discount so obviously it was all a plan and you would have to be completely blind not to see it!

Ok.

All Swalwell needed was a whiteboard and a bunch of photographs with arrows pointing to each other and he would have looked like a less animated Glenn Beck.

I do not completely blame Swalwell, though. He knows what his constituents want to hear, so he says it, even if it makes him look silly to almost everybody else. I just hope for the people of California that Swalwell was better at making arguments when he was a prosecutor.

That said, the danger of this probe was always that it would end up giving Mueller sweeping powers to investigate matters well outside of his mandate, which has clearly happened as the arrests of Manafort and Flynn both had nothing to do with the collusion issue.

I have heard repeatedly that that there must have been collusion because there is plenty of smoke and where there is smoke, there is fire.

Except we have seen no fire whatsoever. No smoking gun, just smoke.

I keep hearing Mueller has plenty of information but is just playing it close to the vest. Well, it has been a year and this investigation cannot go on forever. So, if Mueller has something, it is time for it to be revealed.

But I am willing to bet he has nothing. That is because there is no collusion. All that really exists is a group of democrats who cannot handle the fact that Donald Trump won, and as a result, have convinced themselves of this ridiculous Russia conspiracy theory so as to convince themselves that somehow, he is not a legitimate president.

Except President Trump did win and he is the legitimate president.

If democrats were smart, they would stop focusing on something that is not real and channel their energies towards real issues so that they might have a chance to win the White House in 2020.

Maybe the most fervent of the democrat base cares about this Russia hysteria, but poll after poll shows most people do not.

That is probably because they are too worried about boring and trivial things like having a job, being able to pay their bills, and taking care of their families.

By the way, the democrats may also want to stop to think about the ramifications of their actions yelling and screaming about Russia. They have already agitated strikes against a major Russian ally and increased hostility between the United States and Russia. Hopefully they stop short of pushing us into an all out war.

Either way, this has all gone on long enough and hopefully the whole “collusion” investigation wraps up in September as has been reported.

Maybe the democrats will finally change course once and actually talk about real issues once Mueller wraps up his investigation and announces publicly that he found no proof of collusion.

Or maybe they will turn on Mueller and insist he was somehow in President Trump’s pocket all along.

Based on their behavior to this point, I would say smart money is on the latter.
