2024’s Big Summer Blockbuster appears to be celebrities arguing publicly over President Joe Biden’s reelection prospects.

This week, the entire U.S. news media ecosystem imploded over the “Op-Ed Heard ‘Round the World.”

A-list actor and major political donor George Clooney, long a fixture in Democratic Party campaigns, hosted a blockbuster fundraiser for President Joe Biden in Hollywood one month ago. This week, Clooney followed this glowing endorsement of President Biden with a New York Times op-ed suggesting Biden be replaced as the Democratic Party’s standard bearer.

I Love Joe Biden: But We Need a New Nominee,” begged Mr. Clooney for the New York Times on July 10, 2024.

After a less-than-stellar performance in the debate against Donald Trump two weeks ago, President Biden has been enduring internal leaks, dismal polling numbers, and a growing clamor of calls for him to drop out. Clooney’s argument, perhaps unsurprisingly, has gotten a great deal of attention.

The former Biden supporter didn’t spare the President’s feelings:
