CONGRATS TO ARIZONA REPUBLICANS FOR NOMINATING A REAL TRAILBLAZER
Kelli Ward was a bit outside the mainstream and calling Joe Arpaio fringe is an insult to the word fringe.
Republicans in Arizona had only one respectable choice, and they made the right one.
Martha McSally, a U.S. Congressional member and the first ever female to fly in combat as a member of the Air Force, won her race by an incredibly wide margin, generating over 50% of the primary vote.
The world “trailblazer” gets thrown around a lot, but this is a woman who truly fits that description.
Not only was she the first woman to to fly in combat, she was one of the highest ranking female pilots in the history of the American military, rising all the way up to the rank of Colonel.
In addition, she also sued the government over its policy that females stationed in Saudi Arabia must cover up when leaving their base.
She won her case, a victory for the freedom of female military officers in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
Since joining Congress, McSally has been an especially active member, landing in the top three of members whose bills actually pass the House, largely focusing on homeland security and helping her fellow veterans.
The Congresswoman has been a great credit to the House and her background and actions make her the perfect replacement for the late John McCain, who spent his life serving our government in the military, the House, and the Senate.
Congratulations to Martha McSally, a true American hero, a terrific Congresswoman, and hopefully the next Senator from the great state of Arizona!
