Abandon Democrats All Teamsters Who Enter Here
“The General Executive Board of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters on Wednesday elected not to endorse any candidate for U.S. President,” announced the Teamsters Union.
“Why is Trump campaigning in blue New York,” asked Emily Ngo for POLITICO this week.
For Ngo and other media progressives, “The battleground House district he’s visiting holds the answer.”
“Donald Trump complained during his Manhattan hush money trial that being stuck in New York prevented him from campaigning in swing states,” groused Ngo. “But on Wednesday, he’s opting to forgo those battlegrounds to rally instead in the blue state he has virtually no chance of winning.”
“Trump can expect a warm welcome from Nassau County Republicans who say his visit has been six months in the making,” she added. “The local GOP takes credit for a red wave that has swept Republicans into local, state, and federal office on the island and for helping the state become a little more purple.”
But what is turning New York purple?
Like most mass media outlets, POLITICO stops short of asking the most difficult questions. Yet, there are clues.
