Old allies are flailing, new allies are emerging, and the balance of power is shifting in the Middle East.

On October 7, 2023, the nation of Israel was plunged anew into a regional conflict that has been waxing variously hot and red hot for decades.

Hamas terrorists, sponsored by deep-pocketed Iran, perpetrated the worst terrorist attack in Israel’s history.

One thousand two hundred people were murdered, thousands more were injured, and hundreds were taken hostage; young people were ruthlessly mowed down at a music festival, women were raped, innocents were tortured, and families were torn apart. Parents were executed in front of their children.

Since that day, Israel has been engaged in a full-scale war against Hamas, Hezbollah, and other Iranian terror proxies in the region. Two weeks ago, thousands of Hezbollah pagers and other communications devices detonated in the hands of terrorists.

This week, Iran stopped hiding behind its many cat’s paws and attacked Israel directly. The size and scope of the unprecedented attack were equaled only by its utter failure.
